Today, I still compete in the Winged Outlaw Class, and in total, I've won more than 50 feature races and 2 track championships. I earned my ARCA license (with Bill Kimmel Racing) in 2014 after a 178+mph stock car test on the high banks of Daytona Int'l Speedway. I tested an SCCA F500 formula car and
Sara qualified at an average of 178.5 mph at Daytona International Speedway to earn her ARCA License on her first attempt with Bill Kimmel (car owner).
By the age of 5, I had met my first love - dirt track racing. My parents had purchased a 100cc Junior Micro Sprint and I raced the wheels off that car every chance I got. Weekend
I've raced in a number of road course events with my 125cc TAG Kart. I recently tested a USAC Midget for Baldwin Bros. Racing. The test went great and I hope you'll see me in a USAC Midget again very soon.
I recently graduated from Ivy Tech College, with an associates of Applied Sciences in Industrial Technology & Welding. I'm employed as a certified TIG welder and fabricator at Doug Wright Racing, where I'm an integral part of many motorsports projects. I help fabricate custom hot rods, perform concours restorations, and of course, build race cars.
My passion for the sport of auto racing has never been greater. With the support of fantastic parents and many great friends, I've enjoyed a wonderful career. But I'm not finished yet...I still hope to race professionally one day. I wake up every morning excited to continue the pursuit of my dream.
Thank you for visiting my web site. I appreciate your interest in my career, and I hope you will stop and say hello when you see me at the track.
I've been racing (almost) my entire life....really!
At the age of 3, my parents took me to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Indy 500 Time Trials. After a few cars passed by our seats at over 200 mph, I told my parents "I want to do that"....and shortly thereafter, I was in a race car!
Jr. Sprint Championship (2003)
Sara won a Jr. Sprint championship at Miami County Speedway, IN at the age of 10 years old.
after weekend, my folks would haul me and my little Junior Sprint to dirt tracks around the Midwest. It was great fun, and by the time I turned 10, I had tallied several feature wins and my first track championship. I was hooked on racing! Wins kept coming in the 600cc Restricted class, and by 13, I was competing with adult drivers more than 3 times my age in the very competitive Winged Outlaw Class.
Winged Outlaw Championship (2008)
Sara won an Outlaw Wing Championship in 2008 at U.S. 24 Speedway against some of the best competition in the country at the time.
